This project was worked on over two years, for a young couple in Stokey/Dalston
It’s all about outdoor living and having the things that the couple really enjoy, which at the most basic level, is entertaining their friends in style

what a mess

4 tonnes in, 4 tonnes lifted into mixer, 4 tonnes out of mixer=12000 kg of muck

the wall came down with my hands, totally rotten

theres some steel in there somewhere

the batten is the old fence, so really, this whole wall was recycled. great way to save on money and materials

once the wall was back up i made simple concrete caps cast insitu

i laid this on cement mortar with PVA additive, why pay £20 for adhesive. The romans didn't use it. Those old floors aren't going anywhere

bullnose edging..took a bit of thinking to set the clearances up properly from the original concrete pour

Microcement is great to work with as long as it's bone dry at the time of installation. This project was under a massive covered pergola. If you getting quotes for something like an outdoor kitchen, it must be done with full protection from rain.
