We had a tiny budget and a lot of gravel, so I turned that into fibre reinforced concrete, slurried it with cement and painted it blue. Then I bought loads of shade tolerant plants, added an irrigation system and showed the client how to make concentrated garlic stew to spray on the Hostas to keep the slugs away.
